Experience history firsthand along the legendary V&T Railroad, thanks to pedal-assist-powered railbike tours through the stunning Carson River Canyon.

During the silver and gold rush eras, the Virginia and Truckee Railroad hauled mineral-rich ore on steam locomotives from Virginia City to Carson City where the ore could be sold and minted. At the V&T Railroad in Carson City, this time period is memorialized at the Nevada State Railroad Museum—Carson City, which houses some of the original trains and railroad tracks.

These American-made rail bikes seat up to four people, and cater to all ages and pedaling abilities. At the start of your ride, enjoy the descent down into Carson River Canyon, lightly pedaling with your group. And once you reach the canyon floor and ride back up out of there, riders can activate the “pedal assist” motor to help with the ascent back home. Grab your family and friends and head to the V&T Railroad in Carson City to cruise the tracks!
