Short-Term Travel Alerts

Due to flash flooding from Hurricane Hilary, all National Forest System areas, roads, and trails in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area are closed until further notice, including Lee Canyon, Kyle Canyon, and Deer Creek. Updates will be provided through the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest’s website and Facebook page.
Also due to Hurricane Hilary flash flooding, there is currently one open route into Death Valley National Park, with most roads and entrances remaining closed. Get the latest updates through Death Valley National Park’s website and Facebook page.

Long-Term Travel Alerts

In October 2021, lake access at Cave Lake State Park temporarily closed to the public for construction to restore Cave Creek Dam. The lake was completely drained. While the campground is open, access to the lake will remain closed due to unsafe shoreline conditions and other safety concerns until the project is complete. Check here for updates.
